JCRC: Our Work Continues | June 11 Update
Learn how to take action on the major civil rights issues of today. Plus—join a conversation about engaging young Jews about Israel. We’re curating virtual content from national and local experts on social and political issues.

The Jewish Community Relations Council (JCRC) continues to remain committed to our mission during these uncertain times, striving to advocate for just causes and ensure the security of our community. To help us fulfill our mission during COVID-19, we would like to invite you to join us and other expert leaders in various fields for ongoing webinars, talks, and online engagements about relevant social and political issues and ways to act for a more just society.

We’d like to take a moment to highlight a couple of webinars we’re looking forward to:

Tuesday, June 16: The ACLU of Ohio is gearing up to lead systems change efforts around criminal justice reform in Cincinnati and throughout Ohio. Consider joining the ACLU Hamilton County Action Team to learn more during its first virtual community meeting, including action you can take around three major civil rights issues: bail reform, voting, and police reform.

If you haven’t seen it, check out our Resources for Racial Justice here.

And if you’re interested in learning how to be an ally in the effort for racial justice, you can learn more and be active here, here and most importantly here.

Thursday, June 18: Tune into this webinar on engaging young Jews around Judaism and Israel. What are the topics that interest young Jewish minds today, and how can we best engage millennial and Gen-Z Jewry in order to bring them into the conversation about Israel and other Jewish issues?

You can register for any of the events above simply by clicking on the hyperlink with the title.

In addition to these, there are plenty of other opportunities to learn something new. Check out the full calendar of virtual offerings, all related to the work of the JCRC.

We hope you and your family are healthy and well, and we look forward to a time we can do our work together, side-by-side once again.
