Springfield Township Parks Temporarily Closed To Recreational Activity

All Springfield Township owned parks are temporarily closed for recreational activities until the COVID-19 restrictions are lifted. Playgrounds, picnic shelters, baseball fields, soccer fields, tennis courts and basketball courts are closed. Passive use of the parks for walking is permitted. The closure of Springfield Township Parks was enacted to detour large groups from congregating in the parks and is part of the township's ongoing efforts to promote the social distancing methods to eliminate the COVID-19 virus.

There are eleven neighborhood playgrounds and parks in Springfield Township under this closure order. Closed parks include Clifford George Park, Hollydale Park, Stephanie Hummer Memorial Park, Schottlekotte Park, Helwig Park, Brentwood Park, Frost Playground, Lexington Heights Park, Crutchfield Park, Grove Park, and Hillside Park.

Signs will be posted in each park. A notice will be sent once the parks re-open.

We encourage everyone to stay home and stay well. As we navigate through these uncertain times, please know we have the best interest of our entire community in mind.
