Updated PO Report Published on myCareCompare.org
13th reporting cycle of Michigan's only Physician Organization performance report published on myCareCompare.org.

To wrap up 2019, GDAHC published the most recent Physician Organization performance data on its myCareCompare.org website. Still the only report of its kind in Michigan, myCareCompare combines data from the region’s four major commercial health plans: Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan, Blue Care Network, Health Alliance Plan and Priority Health. The report features 25 measures of quality performance based on nationally vetted measures in a range of categories, including chronic disease care; adult, adolescent, and young adult preventive care; and antibiotic use.

myCareCompare.com helps consumers understand what quality is, how it is measured and suggests topics for conversation with their providers. It also provides an opportunity for providers to benchmark their performance against their peers and helps drive gains in quality. First published in 2008, most measures have shown steady improvement over time, however, some areas still have room for growth. Overall, myCareCompare continues to show impressive performance results.

GDAHC continues to pursue the potential for obtaining Medicare data as one of 28 CMS Qualified Entities (QE) in the country. Leveraging our status as a QE will provide options for more meaningful reports and data. 2020 will see the completion of the 14th report, with work scheduled to begin this spring. We commend the health plans and Physician Organizations that continue to demonstrate their commitment to transparency and quality improvement by voluntarily sharing data and participating in this report process.
