Springfield Township Fire Department Hiring Part-Time

The Springfield Township Fire Department is one of the busiest departments in Hamilton County.  In 2019, the department made over 6,400 combined fire and EMS responses.


In order to meet the growing demand for emergency Fire and EMS response, Springfield Township is accepting applications for part-time Paramedic/Firefighter, part-time EMT/Firefighter, and part-time Paramedic only positions.


Part-time Paramedic/Firefighter – Unit Day and Flex Schedules 

 

Part-time Paramedic/Firefighter employees are expected to work a minimum of 800 hours but are restricted to working no more than 1500 hours in a 12 month period.  Unit Day and Flex schedules are available.  Hourly rates are $21.00 per hour


Part-time Paramedic/Firefighter – 1820 hour position

 

A Part-time Paramedic/Firefighter that can commit to working 1820 hours in a twelve month period will be offered full-time health insurance benefits. Hourly rate is $21.00 per hour.


All Paramedic/Firefighter candidates must possess a minimum of an Ohio Paramedic and Ohio Firefighter Level II certifications, valid driver's license, good driving record, and undergo physical ability assessment, written Fire and EMS examinations, Fire and EMS skill assessments and medical examination. 


Part-time EMT/Firefighter – Unit Day and Flex Schedules

 

Part-time EMT/Firefighter employees are expected to work a minimum of 800 hours, but are restricted to working no more than 1500 hours in a 12 month period. Unit Day and Flex schedules are available. Hourly rates are $16.00 per hour.

 

All EMT/Firefighter candidates must possess a minimum of an Ohio EMT and Ohio Firefighter Level I certifications, valid driver’s license, good driving record, and undergo physical ability assessment, written Fire and EMS examinations, Fire and EMS skill assessments and medical examination.


Part-time Paramedic only  – Unit Day and Flex Schedules 

 

Part-time employees are expected to work a minimum of 800 hours but are restricted to working no more than 1500 hours in a 12 month period.  Unit Day and Flex schedules are available.  Hourly rates are $18.00 per hour.


All Paramedic candidates must possess a minimum of an Ohio Paramedic certification, valid driver's license, good driving record, and undergo physical ability assessment, written EMS examinations, EMS skill assessments and medical examination
