2019 Yard Trimmings Drop-Off Sites Closing for the Season

The Hamilton County Recycling and Solid Waste District's free residential yard trimmings drop-off sites will close for the season on Sunday, November 24, 2019.

The sites will re-open for two Saturdays in January: January 4 and January 11, 2020 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. for residents to compost their Christmas trees or other yard trimmings.

The regular season will resume Saturday, March 28, 2020.

Saturdays and Sundays,

March 28 - November 22, 2020

11:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.


East: Bzak Landscaping (MAP)

(Bzak Landscaping is also open during the week,

7:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., in addition to the weekend hours)

North: Rumpke Landfill (MAP)

West: Kuliga Park (MAP)


  • Brush and tree branches must be no longer than 4 feet and less than 12 inches in diameter.

  • Brush and tree branches must be bundled with twine and no heavier than 50 lbs.

  • Yard trimmings must be brought to locations in containers or bags - brown paper bags preferred.

  • Containers and plastic bags will be returned.

  • Yard trimmings from commercial vehicles and establishments will not be accepted.

  • No large trailers or semi/hauling trucks. Pickup trucks are allowed.

  • No pallets, boards, nails, fence, or wire accepted.

  • No bricks, stones, or soil accepted.

  • Illegal dumping prohibited.

  • Children must stay inside vehicles.

  • Hamilton County residents only.
