A Party With A Purpose
It's a party with a purpose, or several really. Here are the top ten reasons you should come to WinterFest on December 1st this year - only in Springfield Township.

It's a party with a purpose, or several really. Here are the top ten reasons you should come to Springfield Township's WinterFest on December 1st this year

#10. Worth the price of admission! Admission to WinterFest is a gift to the community's most vulnerable. Donations of new and used coats benefit St. Vincent DePaul. New, unwrapped toys support Springfield Township's Shop With A Cop program. Canned goods go to our local school food pantries.

#9. You won't need to cook dinner... or make dessert! We've upped the game on food. Thanks to the generous support of J Gumbos, LaRoas's, Dapper Doughnuts and Fudge & Nut Hut, a portion of food sales come back to support this event! (Full proceeds from J Gumbos supports WinterFest!) You can also look forward to s'mores kits - with the Springfield Township Fire Department standing by to help kids safely make s'mores.

#8. Who doesn't love a parade? The holiday parade will step off at 3p.m and travel down Winton Road (From Arby's to the Fire Station) Join us in the parade with your reindog, float walking or musical group! Register for the parade at

#7. What? Free Pictures With Santa? No need to stand in the long lines at the mall and pay tons of money for that adorable photo with the bearded man. Come to WinterFest, where McIntyre professional photographers will be on hand to take that picture and gift you a free 4x6. Of course you can purchase additional photos and greeting cards if you like!

#6. Free hayrides on Candy Land sounds too good to be true! Carol along the route that takes you through Candy Lane in Springfield Township!

#5. Where else can you see fireworks in the middle of winter? Be sure to stay for our newest night-time attraction! The on-site, small shell Rozzi's fireworks show will be set to holiday music. These fireworks and big enough and close enough to amaze - but shouldn't scare the pets.

#4. Get your art on! Knowing this event is produced by Springfield Township's Arts Organization, ArtsConnect - you KNOW there will be plenty of art experiences packed into one venue. Families can look forward to making crafts, seeing art and listening to some of the best music experiences the city has to offer.

#3. You can get your evergreen tree, already decorated with hand-made ornaments in the tree auction at 6:30 p.m. Students from each school district will decorate the trees. Proceeds benefit the school that designed the tree. Tree donated by our friends at Uncle Bills Garden Center.

#2. Get some holiday shopping done! - WinterFest has EXPANDED it's shopping capacity by adding an all new, art, craft and vendor fair. Artists selling one of a kind keepsakes such as quilts and pottery, crafters selling items such as rocking horse kits and seasonal decorations and vendors from home businesses like Thrirty-One, Pink Zebra and Younique makeup. Remember, there will be an entire cottage dedicated to Charley Harper. You will be able to purchase prints and Harper collectables at WinterFest!

#1. Chances are - you will know someone at the event you haven't seen in awhile. The holidays are a perfect time to catch up! All of our public and private schools have been invited to participate by being in the parade, showcasing music, entering the art show, volunteering or decorating a tree to be auctioned at the school. Catch up with an old friend!

Parking for WinterFest will be on the campus, located at 9150 Winton Road until full. Free parking with a shuttle bus running all day will be at Northminster Church, 703 Compton Rd, Cincinnati, OH 45231.
